Susi’s happy life in AUS

Friday, October 30th, 2009

Susi has been in Australia for almost 4 months (out of the Sydney quarantine station for more than 2 months). I think she is really in love with Australia. Yummy bones and beef, grasslands, fresh air, clear sky, beautiful blue sea and a whole yard for her to play! I really can’t imagine if we actually left her in Hong Kong. I would have been totally heartbroken now and she would have been as well. She is just such a cutie and a sweetie.

This is addictive!

Friday, October 23rd, 2009

Lately I have been really really busy on Facebook because… … … well I’ve been playing Cafe World! It is a small game on Facebook. Just like Restaurant City if you guys know about it. A cooking game made by Zynga. You run your own cafe, be the chef, hire your friends as waiters and cook some delicious dishes to earn money! (fake money, of course :P).

Fine, it is kinda childish, I know. I’m always a bit childish on games. While I love games like Resident Evil or Star Craft, I enjoy cute silly games quite a lot as well. And seriously, Cafe World is so addictive! I play Restaurant City also but I prefer Cafe World as you can actually “cook” and see the details of food. The part I would hope they improve is toilets functions.

This is my current cafe look. All in blue. I know, a bit crazy. :P Oh, well, I will change it later. Hehe. It was just for fun.

Bedtime Tunes

Saturday, October 10th, 2009

Bedtime Tunes is a music sharing website run by Lewi and I. OK, well, actually he designed the whole site. :P

Anyway, the idea is to upload a song every night for bedtime. Lewi had this idea even before we met but he never really did it. In October 2007, I started emailing a song every night with lyrics as bedtime tunes for him. A bit later he decided to make this idea come true and share it with people. So on October 23rd 2007, Bedtime Tunes website came out.

This website is now really popular and we have got 11 uploaders from America, Australia, China, Mexico and Denmark. (Oh, well, you can tell, sometimes we get a bit lazy. :P) There is an online player and you can also click “DL” to download the songs. What’s more, you can comment on each song or any uploader, rate, or leave a message through the Google Friend Connect on the top of the website. Lewi just added the Google Translate thing so now it is available in 19 languages.

It has been a lot of fun discovering new tunes and sharing what we like at the same time. And believe me, the songs there are absolutely amazing! You really have to check it out if you never knew about it before.

If you folks have any suggestions or want to become an uploader, that’d be welcome. Just send us an email: bedtimetunes@trash-can.net

Wanna be informed when a new song uploaded? Follow Bedtime Tunes on twitter: http://www.twitter.com/bedtimetunes

Enjoy! =)

Cheung Chau

Saturday, October 3rd, 2009

I like Hong Kong. But frankly, there are many places, such as TST and Mong Kok, I seriously hate a lot. However, I am always into those small islands and Cheung Chau is probably my favourite.

This small island is 10km southwest of Hong Kong Island and there is ferries service between Central pier and Cheung Chau. It takes 55 minutes for ordinary ferries and 35 minutes for high speed ferries. For further details, check out the First Ferry website: http://www.nwff.com.hk/

Usually you can see beautiful views of Hong Kong on the ferry. It is really stunning! They have outdoor seats and you can get snacks and drinks on the ferry as well.
